Damaged T-Bucket still on the truck

Damaged T-Bucket still on the truck Hi, About a month ago I bought a 1922 Model T-Bucket from Blue Sky Classic Cars located in Budd Lake New Jersey my contact was Alan Fox (973)691-8000. I had the car shipped by Reliable Auto Transport located in West Plains, MO. e-mail address "Email User" my contact was Adam Talburt (800)689 6498. Reliable subcontracted the transport of my T-Bucket to Muscle Cars, Inc. located in Shawnee KS my contact was Darin "last name unknown" office (913) 422 1120, cell (913) 706 6998. After the driver picked up the car and got into Florida the state where I live, he called and said that he had to deliver a Ferrari in Jacksonville then he would be in Cape Canaveral around 8:00 PM. The driver also said that the Ferrari was in front of my car and that he had to remove my car to get to the Ferrari. Well I didn't get a call from the driver until around midnight and he wanted to deliver the car at that time and it was also raining; note, this was a message he left on my cell phone I went to bed at 11:00PM. The next day the driver called around 7:00 AM and wanted to drop the car off and said he was running late for his next delivery. I took several pictures of the T-Bucket but the one that shows the damage is the picture of the car still on the truck "picture attached". I didn't notice the damage right away because as you can see it is under the car, and I was more concern about looking for visual damage. When I drove the car in the parking lot I noticed right away that something was wrong but I was not familiar with the car and it wasn't until after the driver left when I found the damage. I reported it to Adam at reliable and said that I had pictures of the damage and the car on the truck. I also called Alan at Blue Sky and he said that they took pictures before it was put on the truck, and the car was not damaged. Adam at Reliable said that was enough evidence to get me reimbursed for the repairs that was ($378.00). Darin at Muscle Cars has said that he talked to his driver and the car was not moved from the truck once it was loaded in Budd Lake, he also said that they don't remove cars once they are loaded. This statement was wrong because the driver had to remove a Rolls-Royce to get my car unloaded, and I have those pictures too if needed. The bottom line is no one is excepting the responsibility damaging my car, thus the repairs are coming out of my pocket. I work for NASA at Kennedy Space Center in Florida as an Auditor, I been doing this for 35 years and I must say that the root cause for the damage to my T-Bucket is the Transporter. I have made several attempts in contacting all the individuals above in an unsuccessful effort to getting this issue resolved. Below is the last e-mail I sent in what seems a useless effort on my behalf. Thank you for your support, Ken Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 -----Original Message----- From: Ken [mailto:Email User] Sent: Saturday, March 29, 2008 9:45 AM To: 'Email User' Cc: 'Blue Sky Classic Cars' Subject: T-Bucket still on the truck
Adam, Alan, Darin,
I hope my efforts are not useless and to prove that I didn't damage my T-Bucket I have pointed out three areas in this picture of my T-Bucket still on the truck. Where you will see the shock shifted to the right and not in the same position as the other shock, the panhard rod laying on top of the rear end housing, and the other end of the panhard rod broken laying and pointing to the right. This picture shows without a doubt that the panhard was broken prior to delivery and removal from the truck. Is this the type of business you offer your customers? Where does the fault lay? Who will make this right? Ken Delaney 321 323 4373 From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Sunday, 30-Mar-08 08:23:58 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
