Yosemite Family Vacation Cabin outside Yosemite National Park Alpine Forest House - William & Heidi Sullivan - Fish Camp, CA 1162 Railroad Ave Fish Camp, CA 93623 US http://www.vrbo.com/31613 I rent this place for 1 week in August 2007. After we arrived, we discovered the washer machine was not working. We called the owner (Bill) and he said he forgot to inform us the washer was out months earlier. We told him one of the main reasons we chose the cabin because it was advertised with washing machine - we traveled with babies and kids. Instead of offering some reasonable proposal, he asked if we wanted to cancel the rent and look for somewhere else to stay. How could we have time to arrange for another place to stay when we'd already arrived to the cabin! Needless to say, the whole experience left us bad taste. We loved Yosemite and had thought about extending our stay to discover more about the beautiful National park but of course, we didn't want to give the cabin's owner any more business. Should we ever go to Yosemite, we rather stay in a hotel, never ever come back to the -Yosemite Family Vacation Cabin - Listing #31613 again. We tell all our friends and relatives our bad experience and hope they don't fall into one... The washer had broken down THE DAY BEFORE they arrived at the cabin. We offered to let her out of the rental agreement, but she DECIDED TO STAY. We're glad that she and her family do not plan to ever return to our beautiful home in the forest. Our cabin is VERY CLEAN and had to be thoroughly cleaned specially by a professional after she left because of the mess they left behind. The upholstery, bed linens, and carpet had to be cleaned with special solutions because of the filth. You have to wonder why a mother would bring a sick child into Yosemite for an isolated, peaceful get-away. We welcome guests to come by and take a look at our cabin and decide for yourselves! We assure you that you will love the cabin...but please stay home with your children if they are sick.
