Hamilton Beach Coffee Brewmaster- coffee tastes like PLASTIC
|
hamilton beach brewmaster coffeemaker Hamilton Beach 264 yadkin road, southern pines, NC 28387 US hamiltonbeach.com We got one of these Brewmasters and we really love it. The idea that you dont have to fool around with a glass carafe is nice. However, we have noticed that the coffee seems to taste plasticky..when the coffee brews, it sits in a plastic bucket until its dispensed. I do not know if thats the reason coffee tastes funny, or if it picks up the plastic taste from the container the water is poured in to...we use bagged coffee, so its not picking up taste from a plastic can...we are just so disappointed with this, as the coffee maker is really cool. We do keep our coffeemaker clean and our water is not hard. Has anyone else had this issue? thanks, Ken From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Saturday, 29-Mar-08 07:37:05 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI recently (1/2012) purchased a Hamilton-Beach Brewmaster and had the same experience, the coffee had plasticky smell and taste. Just to check the coffee, I made coffee in my old coffee maker and the smell and taste was fine. I used the filter basket from the Brewmaster to pour hot water into my old coffee maker and the plasticky smell and taste was there. I called Hamilton-Beach and left a message about this problem; they never returned my call.
