Salesmen use bait & switch & lie in Traverse City, Michigan

We went to best buy to purchase a lcd tv and surround sound system.

We were greated by a salesman who gave us quotes on the surround sound and when he had to go on break (supposedly) so he left us with another salesman named matt who then gave us a different price on the surround sound, which of course was a higher quote. talk about bait and switch!

From then on we looked at the large screen tv's and wanted a large one, the salesman paointed us over to DLP's which took bulbs/lamps and he said they don't last very long at all, except for the samsung, he said lasted for 10 years, which turned out to be a latent bold faced lie!

The bulbs do not last this long, they may last 2-3 years tops with viewing the tv for 4-5 hours a day tops.

After having the samsung DLP the bulb burned out on the third month, which samsung is very slow at contacting a repair center and we had to call numerous times to get help.

We had to go without the tv for over three weeks.

Then in February the bulb burned out again! This is three months after the first one burned out.

Here it is nearing the end of march and samsung has still not resolved our proble.....and you want to know why?

Because if the salesman at best buy would have been honest about the bulb life we would have NEVER purchased this set!!!!

We are so disapointed in best buy.

I contacted best buy in traverse city, mi to see if we could be reimbursed for the taxes we lost and the delivery and insatall fees we lost and they said NO!

No money yet from samsung, and no compensation from best buy.

We would like to get this loss recovered.

We paid 149.99 for the delivery and install, and we paid 127.62 in taxes that we would like to get back from best buy.

samsung will not refund these things.
