Sealy Co.

On May 12 2007, I purchased at the Bay a Mattress and Box spring set

made by Sealy , the mattress listed at $1,348.00 and box spring at

$350.00. Within 3 moths the padding in the mattress started to sink

in (it is called in the Warranty, "body indentations") and on the side

where you sit and get up to go to bed, is all dented and does not come

to it's normal form.

My bed look's like a hammock with pot holes.

I called the Bay and I was told that is was normal for my mattress to

settle in ( 1 &#189 inches) and to check my warranty. On the French side

of the Warranty it does say it is normal, but on the English side it is

printed in bold letters "ABNORMAL" so being English what language

preside?

Since I received no help from the Bay, I called the Sealy office and was

told by one of the girls that it was not was not their problem, to call

the company where I bought me mattress. Back at the Bay I finely got to

a nice person on the phone and she offered to send a "mattress

technician " to my house and examen the mattress. The gentleman in

question was very nice and told me that it was the major complaints form

all the customers that bought this kind of mattress.

Unfortunately my body indentation was not more then 1 &#189 inches deep,

but what bout the sides of the mattress? I was told that this sort of

thing happens, he would make his report and I would hear from the Bay.

I did hear form the Bay 10 days later, I received a call form a women

wanting to know if the "Mattress specialist" had been nice and pleasant?

I asked her don't you want to know about the mattress? She said no,

thank you very much.

I called the Bay numerous times and once again on January 19th, I was

host to an other mattress inspection with the same results. I was also

told by the woman that it was major problem and to argue my case. This

time the Bay did call back to tell me that my mattress was in the norms

of the warranty.

Is this fair? Had I been told by the sales person that my mattress would

settle in and look like I got it from the Salvation Army, I would not

have bought this type of mattress.

How can a company like the Bay and Sealy treat their customers this

way? My purchase was in good faith and I expect the same from the company.
