Whirlpool refrigerator cracking

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator - model ED5PHEXRB00

Serial Number SS1452111 in August of 2005.

In April of this year the ice maker died and we had to pay to have it

replaced.

About that time I noticed that the thermostat seemed to be off. Things

were freezing in the vegetable bins.

Yesterday I noticed many small crack in the lining of the refrigerator.

Today I called Whirlpool and was told that I am responsible for paying

for any repairs due to the fact that the fridge is out of warranty. Can

it possibly be ok that the inside walls of a 2 year old refrigerator are

cracking?

Has anyone else encountered this?

I have a similar problem with WHIRLPOOL fridge. THE plastic door handle is cracking. It is only 2 years old fridge and whirlpool wants me to buy a new handle. WHIRLPOOL FRIDGES HAVE VERY POOR WORKMANSHIP, THEY ARE BUILT WITH VERY CHEAP MATERIALS!!!!
