Kirby Salesman

Kirby Vacuum Cleaner JM Sales and Marketing Inc San Jose, CA US Foolishly, I agreed to a Kirby demonstration by a door to door salesman from Kirby (Ray). After 2+ hours of demonstration, I told him, I was out of time and (8 PM) he needed to proceed with the shampooing. He called his boss,(Aaron) who came to give the hard sell. I explained very carefully that though the product is fine, I did not plan to buy one at this time, regardless of price or trade in. (I have an older Kirby, works fine.) This saleman continued his sales pitch. Ultimately Aaron walked out about 8:30 and Ray refused to shampoo the carpet because they could not finish their sales pitch. Needless to say, I am done with Kirby sales. When a Kirby Rep knocks on your door they ask you for a few minutes of your time to show you some stuff for the home and if you don't like it in 15 minutes they will leave. You say in your complaint they did not finish their sales pitch but if they are talking about trade ins then they did complete the demo. Sounds to me like you where just leading them on with fake interest to get a free carpet shampoo. Which is ok but nobody likes to be taken for a fool either. If you had told them in 15 minutes that you were TRULY not interested they would have just just completed the carpet shampoo and ask you for a few possible referrals and left to a more interested party.
