Moving across country Wade Odell Wade literally destroyed a number of pieces of my furniture - they did not handle the furniture properly, pack it improperly and did not return it to its natural state and after much aggravation they finally settled a claim with me. This was a total nightmare for me and Wade Odell Wade washed their hands of it. They strictly put me in touch with the claims department and refused to take any further calls after much attempts to find out what was going on and what happened (the claims department lost my claim twice and had to rebuild the file apparently and delayed the estimate even further). Apparently, the driver who brought the furniture across country refuse shipment because so many pieces were destroyed and he requested they sign a waiver form that they were not responsible for all the damage of which they neither did but refuse to acknowledge it with me nor informed me of such. Fortunately I took out full replacement value coverage on all the pieces of furniture but that did me no good unless I can provide now to the insurer the original receipts of all the furniture I purchased they would only give me half of their value I listed on the initial inventory sheet they collected up front at the time of the move. Now it's up to me to try and get values and or provide evidence of cost at which time they will decide what the value is at that point. Who keeps original receipt -Now it a fight with Wade Odell Wade to reclaim my deductible back from them from my insurance claim so they are not taking responsibility of the deductible even thought they destroyed the furniture. The battle continues, If I were you, I would stay away from this clown shop and go somewhere else.

We had a similar experience with Wade Odell Wade. Our move was from New Jersey to Omaha, Nebraska, in January 2009. In short, 3 out of 5 'high-value' items (thus marked per WOWs special request) were damaged or lost - 2 were priceless family antique heirlooms and 1 consisted of expensive electronics (a TV alone cost $4,000). Among the non-high-value items damaged was a large veneer file cabinet that would cost $2,500 to replace. After spending many hours in documenting the damages/losses and writing to WOW and then many more hours, over a period of more than 6 months, in trying to get Ed Odell and WOW own up and pay for replacement for some of the lost and broken items (cost $3,000-$5,000), not to mention the missing and possibly damaged TV and other electronics and the antique heirlooms ($10,000 - $$$$?), we got a check for $500(!!!) from Wade Odell Wade as a more-than-generous offer from Ed Odell! We have kept the check intact to show people how irresponsible and unethical Ed Odell and WOW are. This means any shyster can go into the moving business as long as he has his customers pay the moving charges and insurance upfront. Since he already has gotten his money, he relies on insurance to take care of his incompetence/mismanagement and the rest. And I bet this is all legal. But is it ethical? How can the moving industry or our government allow moving companies like WOW and United Van Lines to continue to operate?
