Black & Decker Toaster FIRE!

We recently purchased A dualit Vario Chrome 2-Slice toaster, MODEL # 20293 for $289.99 from a department store. Not even two weeks later, the unit caught on fire and melted the only plastic portions of the toaster. As it was not left unattended at any time, this appeared most frightening and unsafe. I have never had a problem with black and decker before, and would the store told me to notify you directly of this problem and/or replacement of the toaster. Please reply, thank you.
