AT&T

US I own a small restaurant and AT&T sends out reps to harass/trick consumers into signing up for plans they don't need. This rep came in and said he's from AT&T and that they were going around the businesses to ensure that we have the lowest rate available. He asked to see my recent bill, made a call on his cellphone, then hung up and told me that he can lower my rate with no changes to my plan. So he had me sign a bunch of papers. But they were not 2-part so he didn't have a copy for me to keep, but promised a copy will be sent in the mail. Then, he called a 3rd party , with his cellphone again, to verify this transaction. I had to say my name when he hands his phone to me, then he takes it back and talks again and he's done. A week later, I receive a modem in the mail. I called AT&T and told them I did not order DSL service, there must be some mistake. They checked and said the service has not started and that the order was still in process and can cancel it. They said they would send me a prepaid label to ship back the modem. I did that and thought the problem was solved. Next thing I know, my phone bill came in with a charge of over $1000 for DSL. I called AT&T and the rep said that I had signed a 3 years DSL contract. I was not able to talk to any supervisor as it was a call center. She said even she did not access to higher management. All she could do was send in a request to review the matter. She typed in my explanation of what happened and told me to wait and see. Well, I just received my next bill and nothing has happed! I still owe $1043.55 for the internet. Can somebody help?!!! This is outrageous.
