Malaysian Airlines Complaint


I have booked for and paid for 2 tickets on Malaysian Airlines from Cape Town to Bali. We where to depart 22/8/08 and return 5/9/08. Yesterday, I was informed by my travel agent that Malaysian Airlines had cancelled the flights (even though paid for over 3 weeks ago) and I now had 1 option, namely: depart one day earlier and return 2 days later. That would mean 3 nights in Kuala Lumpur. You would think the airline would apologise for the inconvenience and maybe offer to upgrade me and my wife. No apology, just the communication that they would pay for 2 of the 3 nights and I would have to pay for the 3rd! So, let me get this straight: I have to take 3 days extra leave spent in a city I had no intention of visiting because of the Airlines error, and now I get to pay for the pleasure � is this some kind of a joke? To date, no apology. I have flown with them 3 times in the past 2 years � never again. In future it will be Thai Airlines.
