Funding Specialized Funding Specialized Funding 11100 â 66th St. North, Suite 24 Largo, FL 33773 US http://www.specializedfunding.com/ Terry Shorter (unsure of spelling) called on a back line for our company. I answered the phone with the company name. Mr. Shorter proceeded to pronounce the owners name incorrectly, so I was immediately suspicious. I explained that the owner was out. I was then asked if I was the owner’s wife. (I did not tell him, but now I was sure this was a telemarketer because the owner is female, not a male. I explained this was a business line and offered to take a message. I took the mssg and asked what the call was regarding. He informed me that it was regarding the owner’s credit. I then asked if this was a telemarketing call. He claimed it wasn't; that it was regarding the owners credit. I then stated that it is my JOB to make sure that the owner of the company is not bothered by telemarketers and offered to help; Mr. Shorter then got an attitude and hung up on me. After spending less than a minute with Google, I confirmed he was a telemarketer. I then called back and asked for his manager. I tried to explain Mr. Shorter's attitude and lie but they were not interested. Beware, if they are willing to lie during a phone message, what are their business practices like?
