GE's misleading behavior

Dishwasher, GE Appliance GE Appliance Headoffice: GE Appliance Headoffice AP6 Room 129 Louisville, KY 40225 US www.ge.com We used to own an old model of GE dishwasher and it had worked well until a few months ago. We found that every time after washing dishes, there was dirty water left inside the washer, so in March, 2008 I scheduled GE service online. The service personnel came over and inspected the washer and told me the cause of the problem was the problem with the motor of my dishwasher and repairing that motor would solve the problem but cost over $300. Then he told me of an alternative solution: I can replace this old one with a new one at just a little more than one hundred dollar more and the problem would be solved also. I thought it was a good idea so I agreed. He ordered a new dishwasher for me right away and told me that someone would come and replace the dishwasher for me at no additional charge. I paid the full amount of the new one and waited to see my problem get solved. By the way, the service personnel didn't tell me that the replacement is of a program called TARP. However, after the new dishwasher was installed, I found the problem remained every time I washed the dishes, dirty water was left inside the new dishwasher!!! I tried to call GE after a long biz trip overseas. First, I dialed 1-888-348-7563 to talk to GE service personnel and was told that the service I received was called TARP and gave me another telephone number to call. I called that number (800-817-6770) and the person on the other end of the line told me that she could not help because I accepted TARP program and the new machine works normally. Then she gave me the address and fax number of GE Appliance Head Office and told me to write to them. I wrote a letter, and sent to GE via both fax and mail. Then I got the same answer from them: if your machine has any problem, we can send a service personnel to fix it, but if it is alright, we can do nothing about it! First of all, I contacted GE service personnel to get my problem solved and the GE service personnel told me that the cause of my problem was the motor of the old dishwasher and by repairing the motor or replacing the entire unit, the problem would be gone. That was not correct. Due to his misleading, I ended up paying over $400 without solving the problem and additional hundreds of dollars to get my existing problem solved. Now what should I do?
