Bad Drive in Business

Skyline Drive-In 5600 Hodgenville Rd. Greensburg, KY 42743 US www.skylinedrivein.com Myself, four of my children, my parents, my sister, her two children, and two of their friends went to the drive in this evening to see the movie Wall-E. I drove my Nissan Titan truck. We parked the sixth row from the front. It was the row just behind the building that serves the snacks. When I pulled up, there was a black neon in the row directly behind me that approached me stating I needed to move, they could not see. I did move my truck over to my left so that the car could see better. Then my children and I began to set up to watch the movie. We were there approximately 45 minutes when this one employee approached stating that their were people behind my truck that could not see. I looked and noticed that in that time, a white sedan had pulled up next to the neon, had set up chairs between the neon and the white sedan on the ground which did limit their view of the screen. I advised the lady in the snack building that these people arrived after me and parked behind my truck therefore it was not my fault they could not see, that I hadn't parked up front, and was already there. I further advised that all the rows in front of me had several vans, at least 6 Ford Explorers, there were Chevrolet Silverados, Chevrolet Tahoes, and even the row directly in front of my truck had a white Ford Expedition. She advised I was fine. We continued to sit to watch the movie. Then the movie finally came on, just in time, because my children were so ready for it. Then approximately 15-20 minutes into the movie, a gentleman named-Jerry Cox (stated he was the owner), approached my truck asking who owned the truck. I advised I did. He then advised I would have to move my truck to the back, that the people directly behind me could not see. I advised that they had arrived after me, and therefore it was not my responsibility to assure they could see. He stated that my truck was too high (please keep in mind the factory wheels and tires are still on my truck-with NO lifts on it), and therefore I had to move it. I advised I would move if they opted to make all the higher vehicles such as the Ford Expedition move that were in the rows in front of me. He stated that he would not, that they had not received any complaints about people not being able to see over that vehicle. I advised that is because they arrived and parked there AFTER me. He stated they had the right to see the movie. I stated I did too, and that I had the right to watch the movie as well. He stated I had to move my truck. I advised I wasn't moving my truck, unless I was leaving. He stated that was fine. I stated I had the right to sit their as did my children. Mr. Cox then asked if I saw his sign at the beginning of the movie that says that trucks, and large vehicles park in the back. I advised that his sign did not say that. He stated I was incorrect and it did too. I advised that the sign that came across the screen stated "please respect the others and that large vehicles such as trucks, vans, and SUV's, should park in designated areas." I then advised that in driving around the drive in, there were no signs showing any designated areas. He stated yes it was in the back. I advised there was no sign stating that, and he advised there is now. This truck must move to the back. I asked where the sign was. He stated it doesn't matter, that this truck was moving. I advised then please ask the other pick up trucks, the SUV's and the van's to move. He stated he would not, but that I would be moving. I asked why my vehicle was the only one that fell in this alleged "designated sign area." He stated it had to be moved now. My father stated this was not right and if I were leaving, then they were too. He stated that was fine. I asked who was the owner, he stated he was, so I proceeded to ask his name. He advised it was Jerry Cox. Upon return home, I got online and discovered the website has rules that states "Trucks,Vans, High-tops, SUV'S, are asked to park on the back rows." I obviously have no issue adhering to this if every other one had to as well, however I was being singled out this evening on this, and this policy was not being adhered to across the board.
