I was phoned by a salesman, Justin Morales, that I had just won a Grand Cayman/Aruba vacation. For a low price I could have a package that would accommodate myself and my family for 8 days and 7 nights in Aruba or Grand Cayman. I purchased the package for a total of $518. The salesman told me that the package could be used up to 2 years. I starting making flight arrangements to Aruba and when I called Back to the Caribbean to make resort reservations the company said that Aruba and Cayman are no longer available but that they offer other low end places like Mexico and Puerto Rico. I wanted a refund in the amount of $518.00. I spoke to Kevin Murphy, the manager, twice and he refused to credit my account. In the paperwork that was mailed and emailed to me and when I agreed to this purchase over the phone it was NEVER told to me, or written in any received documentation that the terms of the agreement can be changed. BTTC states that this information was printed on the entry box where my 15 year old daughter submitted my name and address. As a minor(holding me liable for my minor's entry is another legal matter) and even for myself, one would not think to pick up the entry box, examine it, and search for any fine print on it. The information should have been on the entry blank, which BTTC can not locate for a copy. But most of all, this information should have been presented on sent documents and explained in the phone call. The fact that BTTC has breached their initial offer and now suggests alternative vacation locations finds me doubting how I could ever put my trust in them again. My ordeal with BTTC has left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I feel I am left with no choice but to warn others about Back to the Caribbean deceitful sales practices so other trusting customers can be spared the loss of their cash and dream vacations.

I actually received 3 calls from this company Back to the Caribbean. I expressed no interest, and was met with very negative response.Subsequently, last night at 2:30 am I received 3 prank calls with very disgusting words about oral sex.The idiot's name who was calling showed up on my caller ID. Steve Lubowski. After a background check, turns out he is affiliated with "Back to the Caribbean" Seems a shame that company would stoop to such a low place.

My name is Ross Fischer. My wife and iare the owners of Back to the Caribbean. First I apologize for not seeing this complaint sooner. I was under the impression that complaints.com and complaintsboard.com have the same complaints, and I answered those on the other site. Having said that, our package has only 8 general terms. One of them has to be that Destinations are subject to change based on availability. That resort in Grand Cayman at the time stopped taking the tours because of the unfinished construction due to Hurricane Ivan. When these situations happen--which are rare and have happened 3 times in 8 years--then we give you alternate destinations, and extra nights, free extensions and other extra goodies. I will be happy to offer you a free reinstatement of your package, and we do have Grand Cayman at 2 different properties at this time. But we cannot give a refund because of circumstnces beyond our control. I can be reached at ross AT backtofun.com for further help.

Ross

We got the same treatment. After three years we finally did go to Aruba, but not for the # of days we originally purchased. We were told there would not be any sales presentations. LIES, LIES, LIES. These folks should be put out of business. Very hard to find them too. We were supposed to go to Caymen Islands, but had to go to a smaller trip first..we did that and then tried to book Caymen...sorry not on their list anymore. They tried to send us to Puerto Rico or Mexico or for more money to Dominican Republic. We have one trip left and can not find them on the web, sent emails and left VMs. Boo on Back to Fun with this group.

I too have been duped by this company. Of course the resort I had planned on using was no longer affiliated with BTTC. They offered lesser resorts for additional fees...not interested in that. Now I am finding it impossible to reach them. My advice would be to not get involved with this company under any circumstances.

My experience with Back to the Caribbean, is as follows: This company uses a great choice of words to make you believe you "won" something. They don't say you won, but start out over the phone telling you that "you filled out a form in one of the shops you visited in the Caribbean and you must be "LUCKY" because you were chosen. You actually won NOTHING! This is a telemarketer (who says he's not, but just the "messenger of good news"). He tries to sell you on a trip for two that will only cost YOU $249.00 a person. YOU PAY for the flights to get to the location, as well. He tells you after getting you interested in the trips about the 90 minute TIMESHARE program that you will be asked to attend.

Why don't just say,"We got you name from the entry you signed and we are interested in offering you a trip at a reduced cost in order to sell you a timeshare program"? That would be much better than trying to make me believe I was the only "LUCKY" person they are calling, especially when you can hear other telemarketers in the background (if you listen very closely).

I refused to give my credit card number over the phone and asked if the information could be sent first. I was told things like "Anyone could print up a brochure". Well how about this one, "Anyone can tell you anything over the phone".

Sorry "Back to the Caribbean" in my opinion your choice of words sales approach is what I call SLICK.

People be warned and listen closely when approached over the phone. I of course did not BUY this offer. The salesman got off the phone as quick as he could when I started to question his wording. I knew it was NOT luck just another telemarketer trying to sell me something.

I also bought a package that I wasn't able to use. I tried to book several time but got the run around. The Cayman's was not avalible for any of the dates I summited. Then tried to use again but the Co. didn't go to Caymans anymore. The Co. wanted more money for me to use the package so I could use it later some place else. If I couldn't use before I wouldn't pay to try and use it later. I don't think they let anyone use the vacations they promise

We were screwed over by these people also. I got the same call by by a person named Ray O'Connor. After a long time deciding, we decided to buy it. There was no mention of our income amount to qualify. Just that we had to go to the 90 min meeting. I was up front that we could not afford a timeshare and would not be buying one. He said that it did not matter. When I put in our request (AFTER FINALLY GETTING TO TALK WITH SOMEONE AND GETTING THE RIGHT PAPERS TO FILL OUT) I was told we could only go to a few places. Places we had already been to. We have been trying to get a refund as they were untruthful!!!
