Don't become a victim using Kijiji.com

WARNING!!!! Don't become the next victim using Kijiji.com I posted several ads on Kijiji.com of products and services with links to my website providing more information. After being posted for months on their website Kijiji.com recklessly deleted all of my ads stating that "Posting a listing with a link to another web site for the sole purpose of directing visitors to that web site is not permitted." However their policy states that "You may, however, include a link in your post if it is to give the user more information about the item being offered (for example product details, pictures, etc.)." It appears Kijiji.com employees have not read and/or understand their own terms and conditions. These are the same people who without an understanding of their own terms and conditions can go in at anytime and recklessly delete your legitimate ads. To make matters worse when I posted an ad warning users about their malicious actions they froze my account! Don't let this happen to you.

Here are more Kijiji.com Terms and Conditions (as of 6-25-08) to be wary of:

* "we do not guarantee the accuracy of postings or user communications or the quality, safety, or legality of what's offered."

1. "We also cannot guarantee continuous or secure access to our services."

2. "we expressly disclaim all warranties, representations and conditions, express or implied, including those of quality, merchantability, merchantable quality, durability, fitness for a particular purpose and those arising by statute."

3. "We are not liable for any loss, whether of money (including profit), goodwill, or reputation, or any special, indirect, or consequential damages arising out of your use of Kijiji.com, even if you advise us"

I have just had the same problem with "Jeff". For 3 months I have posted with no problems. Recently I was told I was posting one of my ads in the worng category but pleaded my case as similar ads were posted under that category. I just found all of my ads deleted along with one that isn't even mine & also my sons & my fiances ads all deleted under THEIR yahoo's but same telephone number. They have both sent in a complaint ticket but after reading others complaints from "Shawn" I am sure they will go in deaf ears. What a power trip this guy has. Am sure he will be getting coal in his stocking this year. A Merry Christmas to you too idiot "Shawn"

I have had the same problem using kijiji. Shawn has banned my accounts and many other people that Shawn believes is all me. Even with the other account holders writting to say they are not me, he does not care and has blocked them. Does not want proof he is just taking one side to a story from a disturbed seller trying to rid any competition.

The person behind the problems had offered a $5000 rewards against anyone believed to have caused him problems and to stop it. (offered on Kijiji Victoria BC) The seller believes all his problems are from me, not him or anyone from the 12 pages of law suits against him. Kijiji did not want any proof from me to clear my name, just went ahead and banned me taking the sellers word. Kijiji went ahead and did this with out proving any proof on their end. Someone flagged this sellers ad not my email or IP address but I was blammed for it!!! As the seller has it out for me, and is known to have a horrible temper and disturbed nature about him. Multiple other people have fallen victim to this kijiji worker. Be very careful on paying for ads as anyone can flag them and have them removed. You will not get a refund!
