I rented a unit from public storage and when I went to retrieve my stuff, I found it to be all moldy and ruined.

When I went on the website, I found a unit that said it could store a 1 bedroom apartment. The unit appreared to be cleaned but it got very wet and all of the water ruined my belongings.

When I told public storage they told me tough luck. The unit they had rented me was all rusty and moldy (shoiwng water) and all that water got into my belongings. All public storage said was they arent responsible for mold. They represent they could handle a 1 bedroom apartment but they provided a wet space that ruined all my belongings.

Now besides losing all that rent I paid , I need to go buy all new stuff.

Sounds about right. It would appear to a reasonable person that a roof would be keep in repair, replaced at the end of it's useful life, and that the damage would be compensated. Unfortunately, I know of another situation where a Public Storage roof is in very bad shape and the insurer, via the managing agency, is refusing to take appropiate and reasonable action.Ask the question, how did the unit get mold without water?
