eBay's new feedback system sucks
|
auction listing eBay California , CA US www.ebay.com eBay's new feedback system totally sucks. this give buyers all the willpower to destroy someone's positive feedback that they work so hard on getting. i had a buyer (edsbonebed) win an auction and then decide he didn't want it. he emailed me with a question about the item. I then answered his question and posted it in my item description for others to read as well. after the auction ended, i sent him his invoice. he emailed saying that since the frame was new and not antique, he decided that he didn't want it and forgot to cancel his sniping bid and that he would not be purchasing the item. since i am the seller, i could only leave positive feedback for him, but i spoke my mind on it. he, in turn, left me negative feedback saying that i had deceived him. i did not deceive him in any way whatsoever. he then follows up on his feedback that i have him confused with someone else. highly doubtful. i emailed ebay to try to remove his negative feedback, but i doubt it does me any good. this new feedback system does nothing good for the seller. i saw nothing wrong with the old way. i am just about ready to quit selling on ebay. he is fairly new to ebay and i've been on there for 4 years. people like him should not be allowed to leave feedback at all. he is the one who entered into a legal binding contract and then decided he didn't want the item. but, of course, I can't leave negative feedback for him. he is such a liar. i am still trying to get ebay to remove his negative feedback. i have filed an unpaid item dispute and he still didn't pay, so at least i gave him an unpaid item strike, til ebay decides to remove it since he is a buyer. i don't know what is wrong with ebay these days. i use to love selling on ebay and now i'm trying to figure out where else to go. At that time I had been selling on Ebay for over a year with a 100% feedback rating but because I filed an Unpaid Item Reminder (where just a reminded was sent to her-because it had been 14 days and still no clear payment). At that time she sent a credit card payment and immediately sent negitive feedback on my account and it tried to make me look like an idiot... this is what she left as feedback.. paid with paypal seller filed non pay after had been paid. has not shipped at all...when I actually shipped within 3 business days of cleared payment. I then left feedback (with an apology that it took so long to ship due to 2 bounced Echecks) The buyer complained and Ebay took my comment off...maybe its time for a class action law suit? BTW, the buyers name was "toypugs"-SELLERS BEWARE! I sold a textbook I bought new that I used for a class. Pretty much spent just two weekends skimming the chapters to write chapter summaries. I put it up on Half.com(owned by eBay). I listed it in Very Good condition even though it was like new. I priced it the cheapest amount to get a quick sale...about $100(new is $170). I see by USPS tracking that it arrived in 4 days. Didn't hear from her for a week. I get an email a week after the book was delivered. The buyer, "claseyladie", claims there is water damage throughout the book and she doesn't feel it is worth the money she paid. The only way it could have had water damage is during shipping, but she did not mention any problems with the package on arrival. The book was shipped in a commercially made, large yellow shipping envelope lined with plastic bubble wrap so it would pretty much have to be immersed in water for a few minutes for water to seep in and create water damage throughout the book. I was dumbfounded. I asked her to send a picture of the book. I have not heard from her since. I complained to Half.com(eBay) that I thought I was being shaken down for a lower price. All I got was a form email stating that eBay is not responsible for damage during shipping. WTH? The buyer has all good feeback, but I certainly would not leave positive feedback for this experience...and I'm wondering how many others like me who have dealt with "claseyladie" are silenced by the lopsided feedback system. Luckily, she has not left feedback on my account...yet. This kind of thing is making people leave ebay. Has ebay done anything to help you out with this yet?
