Safeway-Fremont, problem with rude employees!

It's a real shame. Safeway actually has some okay stores with regards to the buildings themselves and the products offered.

However, at this Fremont location, they just can't seem to get decent help. While there are a few good, mature, professional people there, the majority of them are lousy.

Really, the bad employees are worse than rude. I think they actually want to piss off customers. It seems as though they want to escalate situations were customers are already upset because of unprofessional behavior/treatment, so the problem is no longer about what the bad employee did or didn't do, but about the scene that's been created.

Once things deteriorate, it's easy to make the customer look like the bad guy.

What really hits bottom is that management is just as bad, in my opinion.

I think this is a cheap way of discouraging people from filing complaints (by putting customers on the defensive).

Safeway's current standards for hiring have clearly gone downhill.

I've been shopping at Safeway stores most of my life. I've never seen such consistent incompetence at just one store.

For the past few months, whenever I planned my shopping list, the first thing I thought about was how I'm going to have to put up with Safeway's unprofessional staff.

Customer's deserve better. So, after so many years with Safeway, I'm ready for a change.

I'm glad there are other companies/stores in Fremont. It's nice to have options. Maybe it's not good for Safeway, but it's great for customers who get fed up with Safeway's lack of caring (by way of their employees).

Now, after trying a few different stores, I realize where all the good Safeway employees have gone. They're working for Safeway's competitors!

I'm sure when Safeway loses enough business and gets a bad enough reputation, they'll get the message. Of course, by then, it'll be too late.
