obscured excessive shipping charges

After filling out the order online, I waited for a final screen to show up with the total and shipping charges. Instead, I got a number of additional offers which I did not want. After clicking "no" on each of them, the screen closed. Today I got an email showing that my $29.85 purchase had $20.85 in shipping charges. I called and tried to cancel, but was told that it had already shipped. Of course, I can return the package when I receive it, but they will still keep that shipping charge.

I've been in retail for 30 years, and I know a deceptive business practice when I see it. Everyone should beware of this site.

I bought these green bags by phone during one their infomercials. My $16.90 order was charged to my card as $69.64. I've been waiting since June 2008 for my refund since I returned the order. Still no refund as of 8-28-08. I suggest potential buyers SAVE YOUR MONEY!
