SEARS KITCHEN REMODEL SWINDLE

I contracted for a kitchen remodeling job with Sears Home Improvement, 1024 Florida Central Parkway, Longwood FL 32750 and had cracked and defective cabinets installed. My wife discovered the cracks when she was cleaning them and the putty came out of the cracks of two cabinets. I called and complained to Pat Moyer, the salesman, but an obvious deception has been perpetrated here by concealing defects with putty. I am financing $13,000, $230 a month payments, and find that defective merchandise was installed!

The kitchen that Sears sold me is falling apart after only 7 months! I had to reglue a cabinet, and I have numerous cracks throughout the other cabinets.

"What is particularly troubling for me is the fact that the cracks had been filled with putty to conceal the defects during installation. This was clearly an attempt to defraud me."

The Florida Attorney General has also been notified about this matter. Sears was my first choice for a kitchen remodel - not Lowes or Home Depot. Sears, to me, is all about pride and premium quality. "RIGHT" I was charged $13,000 for this mess and have documented it accordingly. (PHOTOGRAPHS ARE ATTACHED)

ractors do their work - and these guys were rip-off artists. However, Sears contractors are an extension of the Company. I don't know if these cabinets were rejects from a previous job or what - but clearly, these are not the high quality cabinets I was told that I was buying. The plumber told me that Sears owed him $10,000 in back pay - and that is why he didn't come out to reinstall my sink and dishwasher as scheduled. Sears is not Sears anymore! It's sad-

Sears is sending out an inspector to look at the installation. No inspector came to my Home after the installation by the way. I imagine that Sears wants the evidence of their deception removed quickly.

Look at the last image "G" and see how cheaply made these "High Quality" units are. Notice how loose the tongue in groove joints are - that's why the side of the cabinet separated.
