Al's Pest Control is a horrible service

My parents hired him to remove raccoons from their chimney and asked to be paid in cash. He showed up in a TAXI with a ladder and a grocery bag. He climbed up and spread the 'poison' and said that we shouldn't have any more issues. He was there for about 45 minutes and charged us $170. Three days later I called back because the raccoons were still there and causing damage to the house. He said that he would go back and apply more poison but he never showed up. I called him almost every day and continually left my cell # but I did not receive a call back. One day he did answer but he said that he was John and that Al was not in the office. I am 100% sure that it was him, he has a unique voice. After 5 weeks of trying to get him to do his job we gave up and had someone else chase the raccoons away. I called Al and asked for refund but he said he does not refund money. I explained that he did not perform the work we hired him to do and that my parents cannot afford to throw away money. He didn't see my point and believes that he deserves to be paid for a job he did not perform.
