UPS gouging

Brokerage fees
CA

I received a UPS InfoNotice that they would deliver a parcel of comics I had ordered through ebay Monday sometime between 2 and 5 pm. Fine, no problem there--except on the form is a "Brokerage COD Due" section checked off with $35.72 written in. $35.72- which is $10.00 more than the postage! All told I paid $86.00 for that parcel and now I have to pay over a third again for UPS to hand it to me? I phoned UPS and was told "oh, that's because it had to go through customs." Even if I believed that, $35.72 for being stuck in a warehouse for a few hours? UPS- U Pay Suckers!
