It all started in March of this year which is 2008. I almost switched my phone service to Cavalier when I was approached by a Verizon employee who was able to convince me to keep Verizon as my phone and internet service provider and offered me a package with some more added features that made me stay with Verizon. She also offered me a free visit from Geek Squad if something went wrong with my internet service and other incentives. I started having trouble ever since that time with billing, service features, and so on and so forth. Finally in May I was planning to move to so I requested Verizon to change the location of my service. I had bought my phone number for life meaning they cannot let anyone else use my phone number ever, this I had done before C & P Telephone Company became part of Verizon. From the 19th till now which is almost the end of July I still do not have the phone line switched to the new location and still do not have phone line, nor internet working so it is costing me time, money and lots of inconvenience. I cannot take flex time from work to work at home due to no internet, I cannot respond to or view my emails at all now, I cannot do any of my personal transactions and online work now due to no internet and the list goes on and on. I have spent over forty eight hours waiting on the phone, at home, on line and on computer to communicate with Verizon company staff and technicians. The sales person who I spoke with and with whom I had some form of connection via email was my only contact to work with and get some information across. She was unable to help me and finally she stopped responding to my emails. None of the staff is ever available directly on a phone line they always keep that out of your reach, so if you start working with one individual you never reach them ever due to the lack of this detail of either their number or email. I was just told yesterday July 29th 2008 by a customer specialist that they do not give their personal information due to security reasons and they do not have email interface for the customers to communicate with them so the only way I can reach her is no way at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does that make sense?????? After so many hours and almost 70 pages of data and information of who I spoke with and when and what was said and done I got a call yesterday from a live customer service representative who has promised me to work on my case and gave me a number where I can reach her. I told her that their records should at least tell her who I have dealt with so far, which technician has promised what and where do things stand as of yesterday and she was able to see all the mess herself. A technician lied, another told something he will do never did never let anyone know the status never logged any progress and just left things in limbo hanging in thin air suspended with no action no one to follow up no one to investigate no one to call me let me know explain things to me and so on and on and on. The one thing that kept happening on time and regularly is that my bill kept increasing and was always on time. I was also sold a Dish Network Cable package as my area or property did not have Fiaos which they are dumping on people in bundles, for my TV which was installed and I had problems with that as well. I am so sad that such a large monopoly gets away with such crime as to effect peoples lives, finances, health job and much more with no one in a position to do anything about it. Where is all this going to end and when. I wish phone and utilities never got deregulated it is a shame what people are put thru in life by these companies, whose employees also show that they can get away by lies, shoddy work, late appearances, and much more due to unions and so much more. I see them driving all over town in the fancy company trucks and cars stopping for hours for lunch, beer, fun and or just sitting in the car in a shady area and reading news paper or a magazine listening to music. So many of them are corrupted with sin it is no point in even thinking about it. One fact I know of is the fact of Nature and the Course the Supreme ultimately takes and that is where these sinners will pay for sure and I prey they pay ten times what they took. I have nothing else to say.
