Sears service and parts information

Refrigerator was new 18 months ago. I a closing pawl support break. Drawings don't show the part, technical support couldn't get the correct part. Result were that the service man got 3 wrong parts, a defective part, and two more return calls to get the unit to function properly.

The bottom line the service man made a total of 7 trips, I was required to sit home from 1-5 each time. A total of 28 hours of my time, a bill for $230.00 for a faulty design bracket. The replacement part has the new reinforced part. The bad part is this is a side by side unit and it's reasonable to beleive the other side will like wise fail.

To make compensate me, assurance I will not have another bill like this I feel Sears should give me a lifetime free warrnety.

P.S. In the new car business, 4 returned service calls and problems not corrected you would ask the lemon law be put in action.
