Wells Fargo Final Esrow Disbursement

I sold a property that closed on 6/30/08. The mortgage, held by Wells Fargo, was paid in full on 7/01/08, but I have not received my escrow account overage ($1700) 28 days later!

I have received all other correspondence from Wells Fargo in a timely manner, but this check does not arrive even 4 weeks after the closing. Their poorly mannered customer service staff reports that the check has been drafted and even mailed, but yet it does not arrive.

Watch out for this company! They have no right to to these escrow funds after closing, but they hold on to them as long as they can.
