Unauthorized Checkcard Charges

Unauthorized checkcard withdrawal from my account in amount of $873.11. Services not in my name in my husband's name. Used card before to pay for services. Direct TV is giving me a very hard time about getting a refund.The agreement was that if I let them keep the amount of $198.00 that was owed for previous services, they would refund the remaining balance of $675.00 Told that the refund was processing on 7/21/08 and would be back in my checking account within 3-4 business days. Checked with my bank for the refund on 7/25/08 and refund was not given. Contacted Direct TV once again was told refund was never put in for processing and customer service agent was going to do it. I called on 7/26/08 for further explaination and customer service agent told me that the refund would take at least 14 business days and that wouldnt even be guaranteed to be in my bank account that I may just have to accept the refund of 675.00 in credit with Direct TV.Told me the refund again had not been put in processing. Also wouldnt put a supervisor on phone and told me speaking with a supervisor wasn't going to change anything she just told me. Called again on 7/27/08 spoke with a very rude customer service agent. She told me that they have 17 million other customers to take care of and that Direct TV would call me when they were ready to give me the refund.

My checkcard was charged $760.11 for an account not belonging to me or my husband. Have been given the same run around. They said there is no direct line to the finance dept. and refused to put a supervisor on the phone. Sent paperwork in for refund on 7/28, called 8/4 and got the same rude response.I am sure it is illegal to charge my card for someone elses account, just need to be pointed in the right direction for legal assistance.
