Service America I Called Service America on Thursday (7/24/08) evening at 4:40 pm as my air conditioning stopped working. The person answering the phone said I have to call back in the moring after 7 am. I told her I have emphysema and need the air. She said there was nothing she could do about it. I said if I die before morning than what! She said she has no control over that to call back after 7 am. Well, 0n 7/25/08 I did do that and anther woman answered and I went through the same conversation as before and she said almost the same thing and said you would be scheduled between 1 and 5 on Saturday (7/26/2008) which is today. I did call back this morning again and a lovely lady by the name of JoAnne was a big help and she said she would get a service rep out at ASAP. AND at 12:30 a service rep by the name of Antonio arrived on scene and was a perfect and understanding gentleman who at this writing is working on my air conditioner. He was taken back when I told him this story. I did hold service america in high regard up until now. I did call Chris Haney, CEO of Service America and left him a message as he doesn't work on Saturday. This who scenario is one disappointing experience - it seems as long as they get money for contracts, etc. they could care less about the customer regardless if they experience poor health, etc. Maybe if they get enough complaints they will change their policy and come to ones assistant. For the past two and one half days my temperature in the house has been 80 and 83 even with the fans going which just keep an air flow. for most part The service is very unprofessional and they know that the consumer's hands are tied. I am very dissappointed in the service I have received from Service America. If I may, let me correct that statement. I am dissapointed in the service that I haven't received from Service America.
