Premier Water Systems 591 Providence Highway Walpole, MA 02081 US http://www.premierwatersystems.com Earlier this month I visted my local Home Depot store on Independence Way in Danvers, MA and spotted a sign on the Home Services desk advertising a free $20 gift card for signing up for a Free In-home water analysis. We had been thinking of looking into a water softener anyway, and the $20 GC is always handy, so I signed up. A few days later, a rep. from Premier Water systems of Walpole, MA, their 3rd party contractor, came to our home to do the analysis. Problem number one was when the guy pulls out his test kit and asks me if I knew how to use it. Apparently, it was a new test, and he was just handed it without training and wasn't sure how to use it. He finally figured it out a few minutes later and proceeded to test our water. Turns out our water here isn't too bad, and the need for either a purifier or softener is negligible. All told, the guy spent about 45 minutes with us, and answered any questions we had. My wife, who was working late, came during the testing and stayed with us during the rest of the visit
Today, I contacted the HD toll free number to inquire about the gift card and was transferred to the rebate center, who, of course, didn't handle that, but told me it should be handled by the contractor. I called the contractor and left a message. I then called the local HD store, who told me they would contact the company. A few minutes later, the HD employee called and told me that Premier told him that we never had the appointment. I told him we certainly did, and provided him with the name from the card of the guy who came. I then called Premier back and was told the rep. stated that he never performed the presentation, that my wife wasn't present, and that we expressed no interest in the product. The first two are lies, and the 3rd was NOT a condition of the offer. As I stated, my wife came in about 5 minutes into the presentation. The rep. was there, and he certainly performed it and answered any of our questions. To top it all off, their lying rep. called my house FOUR TIMES trying to tell me my wife wasn't there. SHE WAS THERE! Unreal. The last time, he actually tried to hide his caller ID, after I had told him that I would report him to the police if he called again. Send or E Mail the Federal Trade Commision. You want to see the company dance after they were contacted. Further contact the BBB in the town they originate and find out the complaints the bbb isn't solving and contact the Attorney General of the state they are in and yours. Great results. A kind of panic sets in with them. They either close and run or give you anything you want.
