Ameci's Pizza Lost My Business Forever

On the night of Monday, July 21, 2008, I called the Thousand Oaks Ameci's Pizza place and placed an order. Like every time I call them, I stated I wanted a DELIVERY, not a take-out. The friendly woman on the phone with me, Jasmin, proceeded to take down my phone number and address.

An hour passed by and I had still not received my order. No one had showed up at my door, and nor did I receive a phone call. I then called Ameci's several times. By this time, it was around 10pm. The phone kept ringing, with no one picking up, and no answering machine.

Around 10:30pm I drove down to Ameci's. I saw the lights were off and no one was in there. They had closed on me and I had not yet received my order!

The following day, I drove over to the Thousand Oaks location once AGAIN. It was probably about 4pm. I spoke directly to the manager, Anibal.

I thoroughly explained to Anibal everything I listed above.

Anibal checked the computer records, and it showed that I had indeed placed an order and everything matched up. However, my order was placed as a take-out, NOT delivery like I had specifically asked for. Apparently the woman who had taken my order, Jasmin, had accidentally made a typo.

However, Anibal said there was NOTHING he could do...because it was listed in his computer as a take-out, even though it was HIS employees' mistake. Anibal said that since he was not there that night, there was nothing he could do about it. HE'S THE MANAGER FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!

Not once did he apologize or offer to give me my order that I had not received the night before, even though it was their mistake, not mine. He was extremely rude to me and disrespectful. I have never had such a bad experience with any restaurant.

I ended our conversation when I saw I was not going to get anywhere with this man. I asked him who I could complain to about this situation. He wrote down the number for the franchise. I then proceeded to ask him to write down HIS name, but he would only give me his first name (Anibal) and he REFUSED to give me his last name, even after me asking him twice.

With these names and numbers I left Ameci's and went home and called the number. I spoke to a kind gentleman and he said that a franchise owner should get back to me sometime today.

I intend to go over with her everything as listed above, and hopefully come out more successful then I did with Anibal. Though I am not looking for a free pizza, and definitely not a bunch of coupons mailed to me, because my family and I will never buy from them again. I merely want justice. I want this straightened out. I want Anibal to be reprimanded. I want attention drawn to this and how poorly I was treated.

Never will I return to Ameci's Pizza. After such a bad experience, how do I know trust that they would not spit in my food when they remember my face and our past confrontations? And even more so, I would never want to support such a shady business with such poor ethics and customer service.

I had the same thing happen to me only it was Dominos pizza..I said delivery and when the pizza didn't arrive after one hour I called and was told it was listed as a pick up..I told them it was suppose to be delivery...the Manager argued with me she had nothng to say when I pointed out to her I always order delivery because I do not own a car..that shut her up real quick..she said my pizza would be delivered I asked if I would get a discount and she said no then I said cancel the order then..I'll call pizza hut..then I ended the call..the next day I contacted the corporate office and they sent me coupons a set of 5 for free pizzas..the manager was rude everytime I used a coupon when I got down to the final one she snapped angrily "how many more damn coupons do you have?" I snapped back not that it's any of your fucking business this is the last one and I will have your job..she hung up the phone and when I received my pizza it did in fact have spit on it..my guess is she had the driver do it..I filed a police report and a few days later I received a phone call from the corporate office they offered to send me more free coupons I asked them if they were crazy I would never order from them again..about three weeks later there was a huge sign outside that Dominos that read all new staff and under new management..I now order from them and the new workers are very nice! My orders now arrive sometimes as early as 20 mins. but never over 35 mins..well, once on game day it was 45 mins, but I was given $5 off my order by the driver!!

What Anibal is saying is since he wasn't there, he can't confirm what really happened. For all he knew, you either said take out, and didn't realize it (we get a lot of customers who accidently say carryout, including regular customers who usually order delivery), or you were just lying and trying to get a free pizza (which also happens a lot). There was no way for him to tell whether you really did say delivery or not.

Managers are not obligated to give you their last names, because that is personal information, and so therefore they hold the right to refuse to give you that.

They wouldn't spit in your food, because almost every pizza place either has a camera, or people could easily see it without having to be right next to the incident.

Usually when we can't tell who's telling the truth, we just give a pretty big discount on the customer's next order, as a compromise.
