public storage doesn't know the business

Clayton NC Public Storage Public Storage Lombard st. Clayton, No 27520 US this month I moved from NJ to NC. I contacted Public Storage back in april to reserve a storage unit. I was asked the number of bedrooms in my house I told them 4, they told me I would need a 10x20, this seemed small but the rep insisted it was sufficient. I also wanted a conditioned space with availability to fit a large moving van 40' plus to unload. The rep had no problem and took my reservation. I called several times over the next couple of months, they were ready. When I arrived with the van behind me, we found out from the manager, that first their was no conditioned 10x20 available, only to see that a 10x20 would only fit half my stuff. They then took me to a 10x30 that was going to be very difficult for our van to maneuver, however when we looked inside it was dirty and had puddles of water from the previous nights rain, (a conditioned space)! I called their customer service Directors number in Calif. but no suprise no return call. They failed at every aspect of their job, I have spoken to a few storage facilities since and all say a four bedroom home would start with a 10x30 space minimum, with more questions like basement outbuildings, etc. No quality control insuring the conditioned space was dry, the proper space was available in Clayton, and sufficient access for the moving van. This is a Terrible Company!! Consumer beware....l A total From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Tuesday, 22-Jul-08 12:27:40 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
