Vacation Rental Resort Quest Resort Quest PO Box 480 Bethany Beach, DE 19930 Bethany Beach, DE 19930 US http://www.resortquestdelaware.com/ I am writing this letter with deep anger about my recent rental at 179 Willow Oak Avenue, Ocean View, DE. Things went downhill continually throughout our stay uncovering one unacceptable thing after another. A full list of our complaints was delivered to the rental office upon turning in our keys. My wife turned the keys in on Sunday and was told that we should have called for a cleaning crew. This is unacceptable to me. This property was not fit to be rented and my money should be refunded. It should not be up to us to call for a cleaning crew and maintenance crews to resolve an unfit rental. We rented to have a carefree extended weekend; not to watch cleaning crews and maintenance crews disturb our vacation time. You should have provided a rental property fully functional which I paid for; it should not be up to me to spend my vacation resolving the issues and problems with the rental. I rented a platinum property with your company as not to have to worry about the details of our stay. I was embarrassed by your property with my friends who came to have a trouble free vacation. The condition of this unit became a running joke with my guests at my expense until we found the bugs swarming on the toilet seat. I am irate about the condition of the service you have provided and I doubt I will ever rent from you again. I have rented from Resort Quest for the last nine years. I am currently shopping for a rental property for the month of February in Florida and was considering a Resort Quest Property. I am no longer considering that! A partial listing of the unacceptable security, health, injury and amenity items found continually throughout our stay: 1. An unidentified man entered the premises upon our wives entering the house to remove pictures (security issue) 2. There were small bugs swarming on the toilet seat in the first floor powder room (health issue) 3. Porch furniture was turned upside down and dirty (injury issue) 4. Screen in door to porch was removed from door letting in bugs (health issue) 5. Broken chair back in living area (injury issue) 6. The Ice maker took 3 days to fill the ice tray (amenity issue) 7. Non-functioning garbage disposal (injury issue) 8. Pictures not hung and laying on beds and floor (amenity issue) 9. Missing light bulbs in several lambs (injury and amenity issue) 10. Windows left open upon our arrival (security issue) 11. Kitchen counter tops were sticky (health issue) 12. Carpets that were not vacuumed (health issue) 13.
