U-Haul incompetence

Hitch installation U-Haul Boulder, Co US www.uhaul.com I requested a hitch installed on my Subaru by phone from U-Haul. They had to order and take a deposit and I had to wait 2 weeks. This seemed odd but agreed. I then contacted U-Haul (Boulder, CO) around a week later to see if all was in order. My hitch was never ordered. Now it was supposedly on order. I expressed my concerns that it would be here and all the hardware would be there. She assured me it would. I'm on vacation and didn't want to waste my time. I call the Boulder location at 10:30AM to verify things are OK. She said there ready for me and the mechanic is finishing up a car. I drive over there and show up exactly on time for my 11AM appt. There is a car on the ramps and after a 15 minute wait in line, I'm told it will be another 20 minutes. I wait, they take the car in and I go kill time. I come back an hour later and am told they (the phone center) ordered the wrong hitch. I leave with no hitch after wasting gas and 2 hours of my vacation. I then found out from my co-worker their bad experience at U-haul in Windsor. After reading numerous complaints on the web I will never let them touch my vehicle and urge you to do the same.
