I have never heard of an account maintenance charge until this occured. I had multiple accounts with Nat City and one of them seemed to have slipped under my radar since high school. Long story short, I receive a notice of overdraft twice on the same bill to this account I previously mentioned. The overdrafts were due to TWO Account Maintenance fees for 8 dollars each. Now I was in the hole 16 bucks and hit with an overdraft fee! I called customer service which is a nightmare. You literally have to have the numbers of every account, ID card, check, or transaction and so on... not to mention you need to be a magician to actually navigate through the automated system anyway. I eventually get a human on the phone who would not offer any fleibility for these invisible fees anyway. We got into a screaming match and I demanded from here that she explain the 16 dollars worth of work they performed on my account and I would be happy to pay it. This bank is a team of extortionists that like to watch you as you impatiently and helplessly wait in line when there are numerous teller booths open to take your money. You want to be treated like Johovahs Witness then Nat city is the bank for you, they will leave you on the doorstep with no answers.
