Dishwasher

Kitchenaid products used to be a cut above, but now they are just an overpriced piece of junk Whirlpool. I'll never again buy anything made by Whirlpool or any of their divisions. Have a dishwasher less than a year and a half old; needs major parts, but all are backordered. Trying to talk to someone (who cares) on the phone is an excercise in futility, to say the least. I should have bought another cheap Kenmore. Four adults and 2 small children without a working dishwasher going on 5 weeks now is beyond reasonable.

I ignored its Consumer Report rating and bought a luxo model KitchenAid dishwasher. The electronics quit after six weeks, wrong replacement part sent, and Sears replaced the whole washer. About three years and maybe 350 washes later (I'm single and travel a lot) the electronics broke again, first repair failed, second repair couldn't be done because part was not here, third repair today is supposed to be good. We'll see. I waited a total of 12 (twelve) hours for the three repairs. KitchenAid as a brand is on my NEVER AGAIN list.
