Assault at Crossroads Night Club

On June 29, 2008 at roughly 1:15 am while entering Crossroads Night Club located at 4103 Baltimore Avenue Bladensburg, Maryland, I was viciously attacked by 3 employees of the establishment.

Situation in detail: After going through security on the side entrance of the club, we were told to purchase tickets to enter. I waited off to the side while friends of mine purchased tickets for the event. While off to the side, I noticed the ticket collector/bouncer being ridiculous rude to customers as they entered the nightclub. I felt his mannerisms and over all character were completely ludicrous. After my friend finished purchasing the tickets, I told my friend, and I quote, give this rude pussy asshole the tickets. The bouncer, upon hearing this, aggressively pushed me in my head to where my hat almost came completely off. Trying to be the bigger person, I continued to walk away from the escalating situation. There are tons of witnesses that saw everything from start to finish!

At this time I was approximately 10 ft away from the individual who had stuck me in the head because I walked away. Another guy standing in the door way near me, told me to just leave it alone and go have a good time inside. I continued to wait there until the rest of friends came through the line so we could go into the club. Then out of nowhere, the ticket collector/bouncer approached me fast and cocked his hand in a gun style and pushed me in my forehead. I then felt the need, for my own safety, to defend myself at this point. After about 10 seconds of scuffling with this individual, two of the establishments bouncers came from outside and pounce on me from my blind side. They felt NO need to restrain me(like they are suppose to do) from the situation, but to violently throw me against the wall, punch and kick me. I was not fighting the bouncers back, but yet I was receiving punches and kicks from two huge bouncers all over my body and face. I have pictures of all of the cuts and marks all over my body!

Once I managed to get on my feet, I ran out the door and into the parking lot. In the parking lot, I noticed abrasions and cuts all over my face, neck, elbow and knee. I then proceeded to clean the blood off of my face due to a bloody nose I had received during the altercation. Random people, whom I have never associated myself with, came out and told me ALL the bouncers were completely in the wrong and should have not beaten me in such a manner.

- Due to the fact that I never physically attempted to hurt anyone, yet the clubs ticket collector/bouncer felt the need to try and do physical harm to me

- Due to the fact the 2 other bouncers from outside, completely beat me with punches and kicks, while I never threw one punch at them.

From my understanding, a bouncers job is to restrain an individual(s) if a problem arises and eject them from the situation, NOT to gang up and beat a paying customer with vicious punches and kicks.

The Crossroads establishment owned by Mr. Alton Phillips has been subject to violent/criminal activity more often than not, including shootings, car thefts, fights, illegal drugs, and unruly employees. The lack of respect and professionalism that continues to pour out of this nightclub makes me believe Mr. Alton Phillips does not take responsibility for his establishments/employees actions. I will continue to pursue this situation until justice is served!
