Plains Commerce Credit Card Rip Off

Credit Card
Plains Commerce Bank
, SD
US

I have had a Plains Bank Credit card for over 3 years. I finally managed to pay the card balance off in full, using a payment method that I have used multiple times in the past, and they put a hold on my card. Would not release the credit to me, and wanted me to get a teller stamped or bank letterhead to say that I am authorized to use the debit card that goes to my own bank account. The part that ticks me off is that they waited until the balance was paid in full before freezing my account. I have terminated the card, but was told my security deposit could take 2-3 months to get to me. This is horribly unfair and I recommend that every one with this credit card cancel the card before they screw you too.

This company need to be investigated ASAP or even better shut down. Currently rebuilding and paying down debt from previous marriage. The company has some un-conventional methods of repaying your debt - 1st -no online payment - so basically -if you miss mailing your payment in time - here comes the late fee. Just today , my payment was due next business day - My husband asked that I contact the card company with his bank and routing number - Of course I can understand they needed his authorization (3 way call). Contacted my husband and ask that he contact Plains Commerce Bank to make the payment with his bank information . He contacted the company with my credit card account number , last 4 digits of my social security #, phone contact and his banking number - Agent now tell him - that I must be on the phone also - WhAT LEGITIMATE COMPANY WILL NOT - I REPEAT WILL NOT ACCEPT PAYMENT FROM AN AUTHORIZE PAYER TRYING TO MAKE A PAYMENT on an account. I don't know of anyone who would attempt to make a payment on someone else's account for the pure joy of it. Again -total RIP OFF!! FTC should shut this company down. Their tactics are so unfair -no TRUTH IN LENDING.
