WORLD EDUCATION SERVICES - Incompetent and arrogant

I have sent my Austrian degrees (Masters, Ph.D.) to WES and paid the full fee. Back came a sloppy, incomplete and simply incorrect evaluation.

I tried to email - no reply just a generic message. I tried to call ~ 30 minutes of witing time which counted up the longer I waited - so no way for me to call them.

I finally wrote a letter telling them about the mistakes (wrong minimum legth of programmes, no credits for dissertation etc.). Back comes a short letter signed "Director of Evaluations" that they will make no changes. I wrote again announcing legal action and at the same time informed the Better Business Bureau New York. Finally they changed a minor thing. They still didn't correct the major mistakes like the incorrect length of program (that gave me 1 (!) year for the Ph.D.) and they didn't add the credits for the dissertation (which are 80!!! - it was a research degree). I will write them again and again and finally I will sue them if it goes on like this.

I hear you and share your pain. My daughter in-law and I are getting the same treatment from WES. They screwed up and now it seems they want us to pay again for them to complete the evaluation we already paid for. They are very arrogant and could care less about their customers. If there is an alternate choice for others needing this service, I would take it. I would never recommend this organization to anyone. I am forwarding my comments and concerns to the college we are dealing with so they don't recommend WES either. Or at least offer others a warning and lower their expectations.
