Texas Health Spring Advantage Plus

I am writing to complain about "Texas Health Spring Advantage Plus". This is

a coordinated care plan with a Medicare Advantage contract. It is available

only in certain counties in Texas. I have been a member for 2 years.

My complaint is: I was sent a packet of 5 large pamphelets approximatelty 2

months ago. Buried in all these brochures was the fact that my co-pay for

generic drugs was going up 50% after the lst of the year. I have yet to

receive an identification card (which I usually get about 10 days before the

effective date which lists {among other things} the cost for drugs.)

I feel that in burying this increase in the various brochures, is an attempt

on the part of "Texas Health Spring," to reduce the number of people who

will seek other plans as I am planning to do!

I am sure that loosing 1 member of their plan will not be hard on :"Texas

Health Spring", however I am in the process of investigating other plans,

and have the perogative of signing up for another "similar" plan until March

31,2008.

I am the caregiver for my mom who is a member of texas health spring advantage plus for 3 years and she nor i has never had 1 complaint.this company takes great care of my mother, she has benefits that i have never heard of before from ANY insurance company. for example. she gets free rides to and from her appointments to the doctor or to a lab. she receives allotments of money to purchase medical goods and over the counter medicine. i don't mean 20.oo a year, i mean hundreds of dollars a year. which has to be spent by the end of the year but were not complaining. i am commenting to say sometimes we rush to judgement because of an error and in the end we end up hurting ourselves. maybe the person that was responsible to put together the packages was having a bad day. maybe it was just a mistake.

search as you may you will never find an insurance company that can hold the candle to THS. I haven't. i thank God for this company. someone should take a look at their modle and do the same for all people.

I have been with Texas Healthspring every since they came to Texas and do not have one complaint. They are always above board on notices and mailouts and I get great care. You can call their Service Pal assigned to you with any questions or complaints.

I do not know how to respond to your question! There are NO links that say "respond".

I went with Texan Plus for 2 months (because it had no deductable for medications) but I soon went back to Texas Health Spring---Texan Plus does not offer as many convenient services!!!
