identity fraud Hi
I would like to report a complaint against a company doing business under three different names. In December I was contacted a contest offer involving Auto Advantage and It Communications. They were going to sent me a package of information after receiving it I could cancel by calling there customer services number to cancel. They told me they had the last four numbers of my credit card and needed me to varify. I was told if I give them my card number they could process my package of free items. I am taking medication and was not myself on this day or I never would have given my card information. When I hung up the phone I tried calling them back but the number was not in my caller ID. it was listed as unknown. The credit card I used was almost max limit so I new the could not charge much. They told me no charges would be made if I canceled after receiving the information. I tried calling the customer service number and all I got was a fax. Until I received my credit card statement I had no way to communicate. The phone number on my credit card for these company's was totally different then that on the documents. I received a calling card called Infinity which is short for IT Communications with a trial period I could not reach anyone on the customer service only a fax sound. IT Communications, Infinity and Auto Advantage are all one company. I believe they mislead consumers as a means to gather personal information because my mother also received the same communication from them. The phone number for these companies is 1813-615-0186 listed on the charge to my husbands account.
