Tim Horton's Coffee Cups

Tim Horton's Coffee Cups and Covers Tim Horton's 874 Sinclair Road Oakville, On L6K 2Y1 CA www.timhortons.com Tim Horton's covers do not securely fit on their cups. I've experienced this along with many others in the Halifax Regional Municipality of Nova Scotia for what it seems like forever. I've brought this issue to Tim Horton's attention via e-mail to the above address and I received a response telling me that upon experiencing the same issue to bring it directly to the attention of the manager at the store the product was purchased. Upon doing that I was told that I should contact head office the store has been aware of the cover/cup issue for sometime but nothing has been done yet. When I explained to them that it's not just a little problem that this problem has caused much damage to not only my clothing but to the interior of my car!!! It seems I'm just getting dismissed..maybe it's because I'm just a single customer who has a voice. Although I'm a small customer I've made sure to voice my experiences with everyone who enjoys coffee. I've grown up with coffee and being in Halifax, Nova Scotia we always give directions based on two landmarks..Tim's and NSLC Stores. Well I have to say since Tim's wouldn't and hasn't taken my complaint/concern seriously I've been enjoying the great taste of Second Cup and Starbucks...yup that's right I'm even willing to pay the overpriced coffee simply because they invest in their cups and covers and with the money I'm saving on dry cleaning and car cleaning supplies it's worth it!! Also maybe Starbucks and Second Cup understand that business starts with one person and a business can fail because of one person. I again ask Tim Horton's to take this complaint seriously and understand that I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been frustrated with this ISSUE. In addition I would like to add that Tim Horton's is huge on the prevention of littering etc. Well maybe they should look at a better insulated cup because of the hot coffee and tea people are doubling up on the cups therefore doubling the litter of our landfills. I too wrote Tim Hortons on my concerns with them but on the environmental issue and the amount of Tim Horton cups garbage scattered everywhere. I wrote them an email asking to repsond to my concerns before I put out a consumer alert on them, I received an automated generated email saying they will look into it. I never heard from them again. I posted my article along with the email I sent to them about putting a campaign out to Roll up the Bin instead of Roll up the Rim, again no response. I just wrote another article called Tim Hortons wastes away about Toronto wanting to implement environmenal packaging. I'm about to write another report on them and the secrets behind the insides of their cups that are not recycleable with documented proof. The thin lining on the inside is not biodegradable even if the outside is. Tim Hortons head office does not seem to care about consumer concerns and since I have protested all Tim Horton products which I and my children used to purchase daily, I refuse to until they take responsibility for their consumer packaging and put out a huge campaign of customers who either return their cups to keep it off the streets, parks and along the roadside, or consumers only using their travel mugs, with more then a 10 cent discount. I also agree with your complaint as I've spilt hot coffee over me due to their lids not fitting properly. I would like to link up complaint.com regarding this Tim Horton's complaint and their response to my next article. Keep up the great work and let's make Earth User Friendly.
