SonyStyle does not pay return shipping on defective items!

Sonystyle.com refuses to pay return shipping for defective items! The item is within the 30 day return period. DVD player started making a loud buzzing sound, even with speakers disconnected. Tech support told me to take it to an authorized service center in order to confirm that it is actually broken. SonyStyle won't pay return shipping unless I do that. Yeah right! Usually the ones who won't pay return shipping on defective items are bottom feeders from ebay. I have never heard of a large, established retailer that won't pay return shipping on defective orders until now!
