Small Banks are now worse than large banks!

It's Amazing. Banks have long ago been giving away titles like candy on halloween. But now, they give away titles, perks/money, bonuses, and compensation to any young turk who stays long enough.

Actually, that would be fine if the young turk could read, talk, or write a cogent letter using the king's english. But when the young turk in question gets promoted, gets a big raise, and drives a spanking new BMW to work every day, making $150k+, and whose only claim to competence is the coffee he drinks every morning with the equally incompetent CEO... well...?

The CEO and the CMO (young turk, newly appointed and promoted) failed to show up for work one day last week (and a meeting!). I was left cooling my heels in the 'waiting area', while the "Assistant Vice President" (hilarious! What a joke!) who could not have had more than a high school education, ran to get me coffee and apologize for the delay/mistake.

And now I find out that a former executive, on whose reputation I was convinced to approach this bank in the first place, has been "terminated", or...er..."has left the bank to pursue other interests." In other words the only reason for this bank to remain viable is gone, and now the chowderheads truly are running the show!

How is it that small banks, who (one would think) would strive for competence and professionalism, actually are worse than large banks?

Check out their website, you'll get a chuckle out of the executive team and bank staff bios, chock full of title inflation, false claims of all sorts, and under qualified/undereducated histories!

I guess I'll keep working with Bank of America, or US Bank.
