Priceline.com - poor service - they double charge and don't tell you - Priceline is lousy

I booked a vacation package and the agreed amount was charged to my account and an additional amount was charged.


I called Priceline to ask why and they state it is policy to charge twice the price to assure funds are there. AThis is like a hold but the Credit card company shows it as a second charge not a hold.


I called customer service, very rude did not listen, on read from a scritp and would not escalate to a supervisor.


I explained that it is a duplicate charge not a hold, the agent from the Philipines stated it was not, I asked this to be escalated to fraud since I am being double charged. The agent stated she cannot transfer or escalate at all. She refered me to the website and to send and email. I sent an email no response.


I am dissatified with priceline's response and now I have to go to my bank and file for fraud.


Priceline is not repsonsive and their customer service in the Philipines does not listen or understand.


Priceline service is lousy, I do not recommend Priceline to anyone.
