In August 2002 we purchased an air conditioning unit from the Community Air Conditioning company for $4,950.00. In September 2002 we refinanced our home and the air condtioning company was paid $3,704.00. In Feb 2004 the company sent me a fax stated that there was a balance on the account in the amount of $1,246.00. In October 2006 we took out a line of credit on our home and the air condtioning company stated they were never paid and demanded full payment. We told them that they were paid most of the funds but because we couldn't find the proof our claim could not be proved. However the title company sated that when we find proof we should submit it to the company. The company agreed and stated if we can produce proof they will refund the balance of money that is owing to use. So we went ahead and closed paying the company the amount of $4,987.73 They stated that with interest it would have been a couple hundred dollars more but they were willing to settle for $4,987.73. Eventually we found proof in 2007 and faxed the information to the community air conditioning company. We have called but have always been told that the information was given to the owner and he will get back to us. We have made numerous calls but was always told the owner just left and will return the call when he gets back. It has been months and we have not heard from the air conditioning company. We are asking for your help to resolve this matter. This is a lot of money and it is not fair that he was paid twice for the same air conditioning unit. He has not stuck to his word to refund us.
