Wells Fargo Auto Loans

US

I've read a ton of these complaints, though I wish I had before I refinanced with Wells Fargo. It has got to be illegal how they are conducting business. I refinanced my auto loan in April of last year with Wells Fargo. I have had nothing but problems since then. The constant calls from someone in their customer service department (I would give a name, but that doesn't matter because when you call back, you don't even get the same state)stating that my account is past due, or that I have to pay for their insurance (when I've had my insurance agent fax the proof to them 3 times), or to say that I haven't made a payment, even when I have a confirmation from their online payment center and my bank statement saying that it was paid. I found out today that even though I make online payments, the money is going to the first loan I had with them...the loan that was COMPLETELY paid off in April of 2007. They said that they "were nice enough to transfer the payments to the correct account". I was never made aware that I was making payments to the wrong account. I told them that I need the latest payment to be transfered ASAP because me and my parents are getting harrassing phone calls saying that our account was in default and they were going to report it to the credit reporting agencies that we don't make payments on time. The person I talked to today said that they have to forward this issue to their supervisor who would get back to me. I asked how long this would take, and he said "24-48 hours". When he looked at my online payment confirmations, he showed that the payment was made 3 days before the due date. I told him that I would call back in an hour and that the issue better be resolved. They've had my payment for almost a month now, and it hasn't posted to my account. The agent told me that it wasn't Wells Fargo's fault that I was making payments to the wrong account (maybe so, but no one let me know that I was doing this and they seemed fine taking my money without refunding any of it). He also told me to change my account information online so that the next payment goes to the right account. I told him that as soon as this issue is resolved, I want the CORRECT payoff balance and I would be taking my business to another bank.
