On Jan 27 we went to this dealership to get a price for a 2008 Toyota Forerunner with our current Forerunner as a trade-in. At that time we made it perfectly clear to the salesman that we wanted his bottom line with the trade-in; no game-playing as were shopping other dealerships as well. He gave us a price and after comparison shopping, decided to return to Huntington Toyota as they had given us the best price. We made an arrangement on Jan 28 to return that evening with cash and checks to purchase the vehicle. We arrived and after wasting an additional two and half hours having us test drive and listen to their useless sales rhetoric, they refused to honor their original agreement indicating the price had now been increased by $2,000! Although this practice of "low-balling" may be legal, it certainly is unscrupulous and terribly unfair to the consumer -- Businesses which engage in these practices should be held strictly accountable!
