NIIT is no doubt a good organization with the excellence of education, but the problem is that they don't maintatin the quality regarding instructor, advisor other than course materials. However, GNIIT is nothing new and before getting admitted it was required for you to consult with others, to search the web, and to talk to other GNIIT title holders. I think, the advisor didn't advise you correctly. However, I have admitted to NIIT in 1997, after 4 semester (J,K,L,M), I have done my professional practice as I have been working in a college and it was converted to professiojal practice. In total it took about more than 4 years to earn GNIIT and I spend about 1,40,000 BDT. I have completed my GNIIT with excellence result in 2002 from Bangladesh. I have done GNIIT as then there were scarcity of private university those offering MSc in Computer Science. I think MSc is better than GNIIT. Moreover GNIIT is an award or title which is less recognized and MSc is a degree which is well recognized by the organization more over few vendor certification will make you more fit for the job market. Wish you best success. Md. Zahid Hossain Shoeb MA (Library & Information Science) MPhil (Information Science & Lib. Mgmt.)
