Storeonline is the biggest scam I've ever seen! I have never made a dime from their product.

I went to a luncheon with a business partner and we listened to grand tales of success, ease of product use and a quick return on our investment. My partner and I split 6 sites for $6,000. We only wanted 1. We really were victims of a one call close, high pressure technique and fell for it, hook line and sinker.

After months of dedication and hundreds of hours of struggle to design the site, we finally launched it. Once that was complete, we quickly found that there were hundreds of more hours adding our site to portals, utilizing web crawlers and metatabs. Metatabs, this was never mentioned along with many other things discovered as we went through the process of launching our business. After paying thousands of dollars for a "store" front that was explained to be much quicker, cheaper and more lucrative than a brick and mortar business, I couldn't figure out why we were getting nothing day after day, week after week. I added our site to hundreds of related portals, search engines and directories, but nothing......... It got to the point that I was disgusted just looking at the site. BTW, I received numerous calls from an affiliate of storesonline trying to sell me a service for thousands of dollars to do the work for me. Thousands more??!!!

I was looking at my bank statement in November and I saw the storesonline withdraw from my account and I decided to contact them to ask them to take back their product and stop the charges on my account. I was told that it was past 3 days since I had purchased the product and was informed that they don't buy back store fronts. I explained that I wasn't asking them to buy back the product, simply take it back and stop their charges and while I was saying this, the customer service representative thought it good business to interrupt and talk over me before I had finished speaking. I ended the call.

I sent them an email explaining the same thing as discussed above. A month later I was sent a return email with a sorry we don't buy back sites. I again said that I wasn't asking for a refund, I simply wanted them to take their product back and stop their charges on my account. I was given a fax # for a storesonline review board.

I sent the fax to them within the week stating that I wanted the issue resolved within 14 days or I was going to take action. My website was off the internet within 48 hours of sending them the fax.

Today, which is over 5 weeks later I get a call from storesonline customer service rep who says that she would like to refer me to someone to help with my website. Okay, my website has been down for 5 weeks........hmmm.....I've moved on, got my insurance license took a position with a new company and thought the issue was resolved.

No, is my response.

She proceeds to try to talk me into the service. I'm not going to go into the entire conversation, but the woman was sarcastic and rude and finished with a threat of collection. I couldn't imagine talking like that to someone from a business capacity.

So, I am online looking to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau at 3am because I am so upset I can't sleep and I found your site along with many others sharing complaints about this company. Someone should stop these people. There were many seniors in my group that were purchasing this scam right along with me and that upsets me more than anything!!!!

At this point, I have no website online, but it seems they're going to keep charging me for it anyway and ding my credit with collection if I stop paying them money. These people need to be stopped.
