I purchased a Rolex watch (supposedly) and they said I have three days to inspect it. I brought it to the jeweler in my area that sells Rolex watches to have it inspected and they told me it is not real. I was not happy with it so I called Melrose Jewelers to say I want to return it. They say I couldn't return it even though it wasn't even three days yet. I was told I couldn't return the watch. In order for me to return the watch I have to get something in writing from a jeweler store that sells watches saying it was not authentic but I could not bring it to a Rolex Store which I think is so ridicilous.

I don't know what to do. They will not refund my money.

I also purchased a fake Rolex from Melrose Jewelers in 2005. I purchased the watch on ebay. Several other ebay buyers were scammed by Melrose Jewelers. We banded together and sued the company. We won our lawsuit, received a judgement, and have yet to collect a dime from Melrose Jewelers. My advice to everyone is to stay clear of these scam artists. You will ultimately be robbed of your money and receive a junk Rolex.

Did the Jeweler you took it to determine it was not authentic because the second hand did not stop "sweeping" when the crown was pulled out? If this was the test used to determine authenticity it was not accurate since your watch is probably an older model that doesn't have this feature. I would be willing to bet your watch is 100% authentic, and Jewelers will tell you anything to get you to buy from them. Trust me, I was in the jewelry and gemstone trade for years and I have seen it all. Do some research and see what you come up with. If you purchased a "Day-Date" otherwise known as the "President" you probably have the 1803 model and the 1556 movement. Most jewelers only do simple test that are only accurate for "newer" model Rolex watches. E-mail me, if you would like, I don't have any connection to Melrose Jewelers besides being a loyal customer.
